2021-2022 SEASON - JOB OPENINGS

BAHA/Gallatin Ice is getting ready to open its doors for the 2021/22 season and is looking for hard working individuals with a passion for ice sports to come work at the ice rinks in Bozeman. We have many positions available to fit everyone’s needs and interests including part time and full-time positions in our concessions and ticket booth as well as scorekeeping. Furthermore, we are hiring a full-time position as concessions assistant manager. All positions offer benefits, competitive wages, a fun environment to work in and opportunities for learning and growth in either the ice community or in the restaurant industry. CONCESSIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

Concessions Assistant Manager (full time position available)
Gallatin Ice is excited to announce that the Barnburner Grill will be open for the 2021 – 2022 season and with its reopening we are looking for a group of new team members to serve our guests. The Barnburner Grill is focused on offering delicious from scratch meals that change the way our guests think of concessions stand food, with menu items like flatbread pizzas, paninis, our famous Mac & Cheese, and Chili to name a few. The Barnburner Grill will also be offering alcoholic beverages to our guests during all adult events at the ice rinks offering an opportunity to our staff to learn and develop bartending skills. 

We are looking for an assistant manager to help run the Barnburner Grill throughout the 2021 – 2022 season. This position will require managing our team of employees who work within concessions alongside our concessions manager as well as being able to help other staff including ticket booth staff, Zamboni drivers, and cleaning staff. This is a great job for someone looking for full time employment as their main source of income who enjoys working with others and serving good food and drinks.

We are looking for individuals ready to come to work with a positive attitude and ready to work hard throughout their shift.  We are happy to train and teach for those with less experience in the food industry and many of our previous staff have used this job as a steppingstone to get them into restaurants as both servers, prep cooks, and line cooks in the area. 

We are looking for both part time and full-time employees that can work on weekdays from 4p – midnight and weekends with morning, afternoon and evening shifts available. This is a great job for students or those who like to work nights or weekends serving good food and drinks while getting to interact with the hockey, curling and figure skating communities.

TICKET BOOTH STAFF (part time and full-time)

Gallatin Ice is looking for several individuals interested in working in our ticket booth during public events to take payment, rent skates, clean the facilities, and help with tasks around the rink. Ticket booth staff is needed Monday through Friday from 10a to 4p as well as on weekends with varying times based on the rinks schedule. This position requires individuals who excel in face-to-face customer service as well as individuals willing to jump in wherever is needed to help with customers and staff around the rink. This is a great job for those who are looking for day time work and enjoy talking to people. 

Job Expectations

  • Check in customers during all public events
  • Help answer questions and provide information to guests entering the facilities
  • Clean and organize the facilities 
  • Help staff with several tasks around the facilities
  • Customer Service

Preferred

  • Customer service experience
  • Ticket sales experience

Required

  • Hard working
  • Be able to follow direction and learn
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Proficient in basic math (algebra)

SCOREKEEPING (part time)

Gallatin Ice is looking for several individuals interested in working as a scorekeeper for our Adult League which hosts games for over 600 adults and includes 100s of games all throughout the season. Shifts range from 1 to 3 games at a time with each game lasting approximately 1 hour. Games are scheduled in the morning with start times of 6a and 6:30a Monday through Friday and in the evening starting as early as 6p and as late as 10:30p 7 days a week. Weekend games are also available in the afternoon starting between 11a and 3p depending on the week. This is a great job for students or those already employed who are looking for a little extra spending money. 

Job Expectations

  • Keep score on the electronic scoreboard
  • Keep score on paper scoresheets for records
  • Play music during stoppages in play

Required

  • Ability to self-manage
  • Timeliness
  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Have a phone, computer, or tablet with Bluetooth capabilities to play music
